| Joy
is an ever-present inborn gift of life. It never goes away…but it can
learn to hide.
We can invite our
children to keep joy intact by encouraging them to experience and express
their joyous being. One way to do this is through SkyWalking, a technique
of moving energy out of the physical body and into other realms of
experience. The feeling of being unbounded allows for a completely free
flowing expression of joy.
As
Sky Walkers we can rise above our confused and small ideas of
ourselves and dance the song of our hearts across the sky, allowing our
joyous outpourings to rain down on the planet.

Global
Distress?
In times of planetary
distress and upset, we must remember to help our children resonate with
their natural joy. They pick up subtle up cues of sadness and fear from
adults around them. This can cause them to shut down some of their natural
joyous impulses. We must become impeccable role models and share faith
with our children that love-based, joy-filled compassion can lead us out
of sorrow and tragedy to Unity.
The "SkyWalk"
experience can help us all connect with this powerful energy of healing.
It particularly gives children a tangible reminder that their joy is a
natural, appropriate and healing force for the planet.
Here is an analogy that
might help with this concept:
What if you walked into your room and found two large piles – the first
a huge mound of dirt and the other a small pile of toys. You could choose
to focus on the dirt, get upset that the room is ruined, and feel that you
don't have a place to play. Or you could choose to sit beside the pile of
toys, uncover new treasures and create joyful play. Soon you might
discover a shovel and a pail and realize that you could make a great game
of cleaning up the dirt pile with the new shovel and pail!
This is how it is with world troubles. Paying extra attention to sadness
and fear is like leaving the room because of the dirt. Joyful play opens
your heart and allows more love to flow for everyone on the planet. Love
is what helps us find the shovel and pail - it's a powerful
energy that really can help clean up problems in ways we can't even
imagine.

Joyful SkyWalk
Open
a portal in your heart and allow your unbridled joy to pour out of you and
rise up into the sky. A sense of lifting occurs as your energy follows the
trail of your joy. You can use your ideas and imagination to form this
energy into a joy-filled spirit body – a part of you that is free to fly
up and yet is still connected to your essence.
Your
joy-filled spirit body moves through the atmosphere creating an imprint.
Imagine it like a kite with a string to your heart; a kite that has been
dipped in sparkle dust. As the kite moves the sparkle dust floats free and
your joy paints a pattern in the sky. That sparkling joy energy rains down
on the planet like healing droplets, opening hearts as they land. |

Remember that even during
times of trouble, there are moments filled with the great joy of
aliveness. If you have forgotten this, then it is time to remember. It is
time to reach out to the children of earth not with sorrowful defeated
hearts, but in a joyous love-filled outpouring.
These outpourings are your Sky Walk moments. Let your spirit be a
brush to paint these moments across the sky. Imagine the wind blending all
our Sky Walking to make one giant tapestry of spirit light surrounding and
blessing the earth. Let us begin.
I am
deeply grateful for the support of Brooke Medicine Eagle and for the term
“sky walking” which she coined and agreed to share with us. There are
many ways of sky walking and each of us can find our own path and style.
