All children are born
aware. With each passing moment they seem to literally absorb the world
around them. In the first few years of life children perceive, receive and
synthesize a staggering amount of data from the world around them.
How can we cultivate
continuing awareness of self and others in our children? The first step is
to cultivate our own awareness. Parents and grandparents, teachers and
community leaders, spiritual guides, counselors, healers -- we all can take
steps to awaken ever deepening levels of our own consciousness.
Awareness is the
natural state of human beings. We are all born aware with a body, mind and
spirit able to "soak in" the world around us. But many of us learn over time
to diminish our awareness. As a result, the richness of our life experience
and ability to connect deeply with others and the world around us is also
diminished.
Raising Awareness offers adults
techniques and suggestions for re-awakening awareness. If you would like to
receive free "Raising Awareness" tips and techniques through e-mail, simply
